Cuz them nikkaz can’t rap. When Dilla has the best verses on all your songs you are pretty much wack AF.

Pretty much.

The production was why people f*cked with them. They never said anything worth rewinding on the albums, and Dilla definitely rapped better than them too, lol.

Opposite of facts, T3 and Baatin could spit/were slick lyrically as well. Dilla just happened to be better. All 3 of them were masters of the pocket/rocking a beat too

I don’t agree at all. Incredible beats with below average rhymes. Dilla verses made their wack/weak rhymes tolerable. Elzhi is not included in this conversation. “Masters of rocking a beat”. The other two were only masters of having beats their rhymes were not worthy of. IMO,

This. Their mastery of styles alone should be applauded, but neither are slouches lyrically either. They really made themselves additions to the songs and vibe which is why Volume 2 is so great.

You do realize most of their songs was “off the dome freestyles”. That’s what made them unique. Listen to “Players” and “Tell Me with D’Angelo” on Volume 2 closely.

It was all “off the top of the dome”.

Those definitely sounded like freestyles and that is a shyt excuse for garbage rhymes. I would shake my head in disgust song after song on both Fantastic albums. Like “Why is Dilla in a group with these two bums giving them this crack” 🤷🏾‍♂️

What are you talking about? Dilla was the least lyrical in the group.
