Ya'll overrate how bad his shot selection is. His issue his is shooting form which has to improve as shooting from the hip just doesn't work in the NBA when you aren't 7ft with 7'6 wingspan like JJJ. Trae catch and shoot numbers are extremely high.
How the fukk are you going to come at me with some nonsense in that other thread, and blatantly make up bullshyt here like you're not guilty of the very thing you're accusing me of? His catch and shoot 3s are not "extremely high", they're actually extremely low -

It was 40% last I checked but that was weeks ago. If I am wrong, I am okay with that. I can say I was wrong with no issues at all. We are on a sport message board. It's okay to be wrong at times.

Nah, it wasn't 40% "weeks ago", because his catch-and-shoot #s have never been that high, at any point this season.

I see that over a month ago, on a small sample size and less than 2 catch-and-shot attempts per game he shot around 40% - not nearly enough attempts or games to take anything meaningful out of that data. There's a reason why nearly halfway into the season he's now shooting 25% on those attempts.

Trae catch and shoot numbers are extremely high. His ability to draw fouls and finish on the drive is quite high. But his lack of mid range shot or 3pt consistency, especially needs work. Defensively, he is not bad as stats indicate especially of late. Before, yeah, he was as bad and maybe worse but he is improving his off ball defense and his on ball has always been decent due to his lateral quickness and the fact that he doesn't always try to go from a turnover.

He is fine with me. Raw. Not a good starter but he's improving and getting smarter and stronger. Not as many stupid TOs. Not as many bad shots. Playing much more sound on offense. His scoring has dropped some but that's due to getting Collins back more than anything and playing through him. He is fine. His 3rd year, heck, depending who with draft, next year could be really good. I hope to see a Fox like improvement for Trae next year.

You hit it on the head doe he is not a shooter he can make shots but he's not a shooter. Problem is he's looking for that highlight 27 footer which he has no business ever taking. I agree with what you said catch and shoot he's ok dribbling into 3s with his form and lack of accuracy is a win for the defense Everytime.

one good game every 3 weeks average

right on schedule :russell:

Don't even know why it was up......He still ranks #1 in usage rate to worst efficiency

1. Trae Fredette
2. Tyreke Evans
3. Malik Monk

He has one good game and then he'll have 6 bad ones in a row. I'm confused on the continued support for Trae Fredette. They don't even care.
