You gotta look at it from this point because of his size, defense and gunner mentality trae is more replaceable. Good point guards come into the nba every year. Trae is fools gold dont get caught up nobody is ever gonna fear a trae young lead team.

Jennings averaged 15/3/6 on 37/37/82 shooting. His best month was his second month and he dropped off a cliff afterwards. Post AS break he put up 13/3/5 on 36/36/85 shooting.
MCW put up 17/6/6 on 40/26/70 shooting. He also got worse as the year went on.
Tyreke is the only one comparable at 20/6/5 and while his rebounding and passing inproved as the year went on, his shooting did not.
Trae has improved in almost every category since November.
If you’re painting this as some cautionary tale, these guys are outliers.
Most good rookies stay good players even if they’re on bad teams. For you to point out 3 players out of the air makes no sense.
I could just as easily compare him to Chris Paul, John Wall, or Kemba as a rookie.
