Manhattan is the worst...I haven't taken my car there in years...everything just sucks from traffic to detours to the parking.

Brooklyn is getting there and it sucks too...especially the parking

NYC has some of the most talented drivers I’ve ever seen. Only place I also feel like honking your horn is actually a sign of courtesy :russ:

:dead:

It’s the only American city where people honk the horn like they are in a third world country. Any where else in the US and it would be a sign of disrespect. In NY, it’s just another mode of communication.

I hate to give props like this cause I’m from ATL and now I live in DC, but NYC is America’s greatest city. The vibe is just different from anywhere else in the U.S.

yes you can. NY highways don’t have as much lanes as highways in LA

ok that makes sense.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Cross Town main streets like 34th, 42nd should get rid of cars all together. The streets are not wide and no matter what you do it’s stand still traffic. The buses that run on those streets always score the worst scores as far as speed goes.

I need to take another trip to NYC to get a better feel for its traffic congestion. But I truly feel like the only city in the country who’s traffic is as bad if not arguably worse than DC’s is LA. That LA traffic is a goddamn monster

The Cross Bronx Expressway was ranked the worst Highway in the nation for traffic.

I agree. The only time I do not see traffic on that highway is when it’s like 2 am lol

your stars are but dust on my shoes
man I can't imagine driving in NYC. Too many pedestrians, construction, other drivers cutting through lanes, it gets mainey out there lol

#1 rule I noticed whether on foot or in a car, just NEVER get in anyone's way. It don't matter what you do, just don't hold everyone up lmao.

It all sucks but it's gotten worse over the last ten years.. Manhattan, Brooklyn, even the surrounding areas in Jersey. It takes an obscene amount of time to get a mile or two. It's not practical to drive.

We were going through Manhattan a few weeks back and some dude just slammed into the back of another car. Everyone got out, looked at the damage and went :yeshrug: and got back in the cars and kept going... Why? Because it wasn't worth their time to proceed differently. No reason to drive a nice whip through the city if you care about it lol

Because you have thousands of trucks trying to fit into tiny spaces before they hit the bridge. It can take a couple hours easy to get a few miles

My brother was talking to me about this earlier today. He honked his horn out of state and everyone around him looked at him like he was an alien.

I only drive on the weekends and it's decent for the most part even in Manhattan. But on the weekdays I absolutely refuse to drive, it's just isnt worth the pain and hassle. I go to la a lot and I feel like their traffic isn't even that bad because it's more sprawling and people drive to different parts, plus no bridges and tunnels to deal with. In nyc everyone is going to manhattan. Going crosstown is the most ridiculous shyt ever. I think la can feel worse just because of the distance travel whereas in nyc the distance is shorter but the traffic more congested in a smaller area.
