Let's be real, he's good for a great sound bite and a good voice for players getting that paper but be honest brehs, Spurrier has been getting by for YEARS off that one fraud ass title he won at UF (he backed into that bytch cause we beat their ass in the last game of that season). Yea, he won an ACC title at Duke but the ACC was weak as shyt back then. Wasn't putting the fear in no one. Negro, I was. I've followed Spurriers career since I was a lil n1gga. Danny Wuerfful, Reidel Anthony, Ike Hilliard, I loved that Gators National Championship squad as a kid. I knew Bum Stoops coached under him. But u said he passed his mentor, so someone other than Steve musta been his mentor.

Why Stoops getting the mentor label knowing damn well he learned under the great Bill Snyder. Stoops was at UF for 3 years Spurrier had already won 3 SEC titles before Stoops even arrived. You can say UF backed into the title in 96 but its cfb FSU backed into the 1st title gotta take it as it is.

Yeah he's stubborn as shyt at times and pisses away games but I won't bury the guy cause his team had a bad night. If SC tanks this season then we can get the papers ready but I wouldn't call the guy Mack Brown cause of a rough night.

Quite a few players from my area have played with Spurrier over the years and I think it's silly to say the dude should retire, dude almost single handedly turned South Carolina from a mid-tier school to a competitor year after year. It's actually quite impressive how he manages to win so many games with borderline awful QBs. There's a reason South Carolina WRs tend to do pretty well in the NFL, they have catching ducks for the past 3-4 years in college.
