Honestly, seeing how things have been going with projects from artists getting little to no promotion, underselling, R&B being promoted more than hip-hop, and just general issues from it being no longer island/def jam to just def jam...I can't see this label lasting any more than 5 years at this point.

It was the goat hip-hop label, still is, but it's in the past now, the def jam legacy don't add up anymore. Being on Def Jam in 2015 ain't that special anymore.

Do you understand what money laundering is? Honest question and not insinuating anything.
Yes. I'm very aware of money laundering. I've known my fair share of cats that put dope boy money into a legitimate business and have now officially left that life behind and they are now making legal money.

I can see Def Jam becoming a pop/R&B/hip-hop label...more focus on the pop aspect.

Def Jam ain't going anywhere. They've adapted to the changing music market, all these major labels have.

Hip hop and the music biz in general is still lucrative despite what sales numbers may show.
