Right away, unfortunately. 
How long does it take for you to start working...once you get to work?

I actually show up an hour to 2 early. But I'm on a salary so I get paid the same if I work 12 or 24. However I routinely leave early so im sure people who work a regular day think I don't do shyt. I just prefer to work in the quiet of the early morning.

About an hour. I usually arrive and make coffee and then go to my office..browse The Coli and Twitter, send a few text messages and then go into my staff meeting at ten

I'm usually in here around 8am. so after going in the kitchen to get some water, I probably respond to any urgent emails first. then from 810-845, I chill cuz I got a short meeting most mornings. so once thats done around 915, then I get after it.

yup, I had a meeting today at 845 and then another one right at 9am. so I didn't get done with all that til like 930 ish. that's when I got started working.

When I was in the office I'd get in trouble because I wouldn't come in until the last minute. My assistant manager used to show up like an hour early. But he'd show up, make a pot of coffee. He'd smoke a couple of cigarettes, go to a few news sites, and basically not doing shyt until after I had come in. Yet they'd stay praising him for putting in the extra hours.

Strolled in around 9:20. I've answered 1 phone call and 2 emails so far. Been bullshyttin on the net otherwise.

You missed the key part, he was my assistant manager. I still kicked his ass when it came to the actual work.
Funny thing though is I initally built my reputation as a hard worker posting on SOHH. Our office used to be real slow, so all of our coworkers would be hanging out in the hallways talking while I'd be in my office looking busy as hell even though I was just posting.
