I always enjoy hearing about post-Invasion WWE (honestly from the “Winner Take All” stuff til late 2002). Invasion in general was one of the biggest money blunders in history, but that early 2002 era was such a weird time. You had such a massive roster and they couldn’t done so much more than what they did.

pretty good analysis of the nia/jade thing

this entire match was the ref's fault...like really shytty work by her now that he points it out. I didn't think of the lack of gloves...staying in the ring when there is blood everywhere, the botched pinfall, etc

just crap

Ref was overwhelmed. Likely her first time dealing with a situation like this. She went code black. She's going to have to eat the heat from management for awhile but it was a learning lesson. The ref didn't toss a stumbling Jade into the steel steps without room to brace, though.

Maybe it's the "Big Drawls" thread because dudes want to fukk, but nikkas on this board have absolutely been soft shoeing about Nia clearly injuring Jade.

Nia really did recklessly launch Jade into those steps. She had zero time to get her hands up based on the force alone. She did the same to Kairi I think, just with slightly less force, and Kairi may have at least gotten her fingernail up beforehand

Big Drawls Defender here;

She pushed the back of Jade's neck...so unless you think she's the strongest woman in WWE history, that wasn't her "brute strength."

It's not like she grab her from her waist and throw her over her head into the steel steps.

She didn grab her hand then smash it on the stairs.

She shoved her head and Jade went flying. They damn near by the table by the time Nia starts guiding her to the steel steps.

Jade jumped into the stairs. She went TWO (2.5) Steps from the other side of the announce table. She oversold.

Nia ain't even grabbing her wig..she's cupping the back of her neck. Jade had control over her body, she fling herself into the steps.

Again, check her feet.

Nia's body weight was towards the ring (hell, she's leaning on the ring the other way) while pushing her neck with one hand. It's simple physics.
