I miss those days

My first computer was a Tandy. It was in color. I played the Oregon Trail on it. It didn't have a mouse or a modem.
Early 90s. I've always had computers in my life.

My mom worked in an office and after school she'd pick us up and we'd stay for a few hours, playing around on open computers.

When I was in 4th and 5th grade we also had a pc in our classroom that we could use.

We got a computer in our house in 04.

Breh 28.8 was BLAZING fast at the time.

shyt the jump from 2400 to 9600 was huge. 28.8 was like magic.

The shyt was when I bought what was called a "softmodem", which was a modem that could be upgraded through firmware. It was 9600 baud the year I bought it and went all the way up to 33.6k .

Anyway, I been using internet since 1993. Had an account with a local bbs that included SLIP access so I could telnet into MUDs and read newsgroups and shyt.

At my last job, we all brought our own laptops in and used the community wifi network....I haven't owned a desktop computer since 2007.

they don't want company programs on personal computers. we had a power outage that killed my hd last year so i SD able to get an upgrade to a hp windows 8, but it's still like 3 of them bytches out of the 6 pcs in my department. we even still got a windows 98 in this bytch.
