How long of a commute is too much for you ?

Living in LA my prior jobs it would take me 2 hours to get home, cause I’m stuck on the highway

now my current job, I take the streets and I’m glad I get off before rush hour hits

I was doing 90 minutes into Manhattan until April of last year when we started working from home.



I had to get on the 6:48am train, then take the A C or E to Port Authority, then walk to Times Square, then the shuttle from Porth Authority to Grand Central.

I once commuted 2 hours for a job that played $9.00/hour

We also had to wear a shirt and tie every day.

I lasted for about a month (December....((Christmas completely sucked))) and quit immediately after found something better. The economy was fukked up then, yo.

Anything over 30 minutes is a non-starter too many variables that could impact me on my way to work. I know people who drive a hour and half to work and back. Couldn’t be driving 3 hours everyday for work.

My calculation

Is the commute time is worth at least 2 times whatever your hourly pay converts to

So if u make $80 an hour

And it takes u 1 hour each direction to n from work

Then u losing $160 each direction

Doing that much driving each day
