Everyone has different circumstances..so to say "whats the average" is entirely subjective to the couple involved...Speaking only for myself, I would like to be engaged no longer than a year..That would hopefully give us enough time to put money aside for a small, intimate affair and honeymoon

My cousin and his girl have been "engaged" for nine years. So bad that my aunt tells the rest of the fam that they're married, and when I say something she replies, "Well, Islamically." :why::comeon::snoop::ld::mjpls:

babies still coming though, and she loves the Bridezilla shows and shyt :skip:

As long as those two people feel like being engaged. It's not for anyone else to decide. Forcing ppl to conform to society's 'norms' is as bad as expecting ppl to perpetuate stereotypes. What happens in a relationship btwn two ppl is their business and they are free to move at their own pace.
