You mean once they started giving Lin the superstar treatment and focusing their game plan on stopping him?

People forget this team barely had time to gel with the shortened season and all the injuries. You focus on Lin like that again next season and Melo & A'mare are going to :eat:

Amare without the offense run through him is :flabbynsick:

Kidd one of my all time favs brehs, but he damn near 40 and he going to be :childplease: when he sees how little chemistry that knicks roster has together

The I in Team
I've made threads about both

Jrue is a great young player, a Chauncey billups in the making

Iggy is the best perimeter defender on earth

My advice is make more threads about jrue and not Lin. When people think of pg's I would bet serious coli cash that Ramon sessions name would come up before jrue. Dj augustin even.

And for the record Lin will get better. You forget we talking about a guy that went from garbage time minutes to averaging like 40 per game. The whole team got thrusted on his back. This year that won't be the case. He can still penetrate and will spend the offseason working on ball protection. Plus he got Jason Kidd as a fukking mentor. C'mon breh, what more can I say?

We all know this thread doesn't get made if the Knicks didn't intend on matching Houston's offer

Breh once they gave Lin that superstar treatment he fell apart. shyt once they proved he had no left hand, he was done.

Lin ain't garbage, but he's a turnover machine who can't go to his left or finish at the rim & the NYK wanna give him 30 mil.

This shyt gonna backfire for Knicks fans :laff:

Dude needs to work on his base this off season. He kept tiring out late in games and has no legs to speak of, with is lift dropping off as the games progressed.

they now have a whole off-season to watch tape on him...

Lin was kind of like the perfect storm...

- he came on the scene when Melo was out and NY desperately needed someone to score so they basically gave him free reign

- he came out of nowhere, so there was virtually no tape on the guy

- Even if you did have tape on him, you were likely playing the Knicks on either a back to back or 1 day's rest, so there was minimal time to gameplan

the Heat made it a point to put a stop to all the Linsanity shyt and they exposed him, I fully expect him to regress this season

:childplease: nikkas acting like hes been in the league 6 years. He was a rookie wtf. Ive never heard such scrutiny on a rookie before. Noe even Lebron. Noone was saying Lebron was gonna regress. You nikkas need to just let it gooo. Yes NYC is the best city in America and yes we kno you wanna be hear and that drives your hate for their teams but c'mon start using your better judgement. And stop :troll:ing

We're not paying him to be an elite PG. He's getting paid 5 mil the first two years, the 3rd year is 10 mil which is also when Melo, Amare, & Tyson are all expiring.

The 4th year is a team option for also 10 mil, so if he's a bust, they can just let him go and save themselves the money.

People keep saying... what happens when teams put the "locks" on Lin. But are we forgetting that after everything died down and everyone was relatively healthy... they were playing pretty well

Are we forgetting that two other people on the court will be Carmelo Anthony and (hopefully) a healthy Amare'... and teams are putting a lock on Lin?... lmao

Are we forgetting that this is the reason that they picked up Jason Kidd, because regardless of how old he his, teams can't just stop him or fluster him. He's not gonna be running around the court and scoring anymore... but he's gonna get the ball where it needs to go with minimal turnovers.

Lin doesn't need to be a superstar... Lin doesn't even need to be a star. All Lin has to do is be an above average point guard and nothing more. Anything else is a bonus. He's not getting paid star money.... so why are people judging him like a star? He's getting the money of any other young quality player in the league.

P.S.

People keep talking about Kidd and Camby not being "game-changers" or Big signings....

Do people realize that the starting line-up includes Carmelo, STAT, Chandler, Lin and Shumpert?

They don't need any BIG moves. They need to solidify a bench and role players. Like a backup point guard who won't make mistakes (Kidd) or a backup center that can keep up defensive intensity (Camby). These are BENCH players

Then they still have JR and Novak coming off the bench... all they need is a quality SG or SF who can create his own shot (efficiently), and they are legitimate title contenders
