1) he wasn't a rookie

2) I live 20 minutes from South Beach, why the fukk would I want to move to that dirty ass city

3) I provided reasons as for why I feel like Lin will regress, I'm not trolling

1) he basically was. What we're seriously going to act like he played significantly a full Season before?

2) you don't even live in south beach. Outskirts ass nikka. Miami is where you go to overdose on coke.

3) Those reasons were idiotic. Because they found out his game? He can't add to his game in anyway? So he's just stuck in his ways? He can't improve?

4) anyone who says a young player with potential will regress truly is either stupid or fueled by some kind of bias.

Breh Lin is more valuable as a sideshow & media sensation than he is to y'all as a PG. 10 mil for Lin in yr 3? :heh:

You puttin all that money in a dude who is still an unknown commodity. But whatever. Y'all like it, I love it

We Dont Take A Cap Hit For It So Its All Good :win:

So we are gonna act like the Knicks aren't starving at PG, now? Jeremy Lin is not an elite PG, he's not even a top 10 PG, but he is easily the best PG on the Knicks team and that is including Jason Kidd. If he averages 15 and 8 and keeps his turnovers low the Knicks are a better team for it. Pay the man. PG is a limited commodity, why does Dre Miller keep getting work with his middle of the road azz.

This is the dumbest argument ever to me & I see it all the time. So b/c he ain't good or garbage you should still overpay to keep him, just to say you have an avg at best PG? :what:

lin is your run-of-the-mill PG.

at best he's a poor, poor man's mike bibby.

your dumbass forgot that we had poor poor man's Mike Bibby IN Mike Bibby last year too huh? Same Mike Bibby who was our third string point guard behind a starting Jeremy Lin

Market Value is relative, in the grand scheme of things the pool of point guards this season is shallow. Clearly there is a team who thinks he is worth the money he is being offered just based off of what they saw last year. Do you guys really think you are better with Jason Kidd playing starter minutes, as opposed to Jeremy Lin. The Knicks only real need is point guard and without that Brooklyn will take all the shine, with or without Dwight. In all honesty I think he is a pretty solid player despite his shortcomings and most of his issues are fixable. But it's ok :dwillhuh: is just a subway ride away.

Find me a PG better than Lin, making less than approx. 7 mil (Lin's average salary thru the 1st 3 years of the deal), who isn't on their rookie contract. Kyle Lowry is the only guy I can think of.

You acting like we gave this guy the max. If for whatever reason he plays under par the 1st two years, he becomes a trade asset in the 3rd.

So you're willing to commit long term to a player who hasn't played a whole season yet? :childplease:

From the little bit that he showed, yes I'm willing to commit for 4 years 30 Mill with the fourth year being optional. His half a season play got the country worked up in what was essentially his rookie season. Given the fair assumption that he'll improve, we're paying him on potential. It's fairly priced

I'm pretty sure the "old, washed-up" part was hinted at when I called him a poor poor version of himself. Or did u miss that part? :wrist:

The Lin Contract Is About As Good As I Gets For The Knicks, It's Actually WAY Better For Us Then I Anticipated

A Measly 5 Mill For 2 Years, Then 9 In Year 3, That If He Doesnt Live Up To Is A Financial Loss For James Dolan, The 4th Year Is OUR Option And We Took NO Hit To Our Cap Space, We Made Out Like Bandits

The Raptors Are Giving Landry Fields 20 Million Dollars But WE Took An L On Lin Huh? lol
