Yeah, that's my main gripe if they are indeed taking his character that way. I feared that from the time he had that, "Ladies, what's my name," cringe-worthy promo a couple of months back. If they want to market son as an ass kicking ladies man, he's going to fall flat on his face. He can play the bad ass, lone wolf role and he'll be fine, but if they keep up the raised eyebrows and LL Cool J lip licking, he's going to bomb when they put that title on him. They need him to appeal to casual male fans and kids. You can make it having the support of women and children and being loathed by smarks, but if the only people son is going to try to get reactions from is women, he's destined for the mid-card and Rollins/Ambrose are going to run circles around him.

thats my main problem with wrestling now, they just forgot how to let a muthafukka "be" and blossom on there own. They put there hands all over peoples image and shyt on them when they don't succeed. It's really WCW Logic. Nobody get's over until they infuse themselves into a character. From Rock, to Piper to Bryan, nobody get's over playing a role. It just doesnt happen. Bray writes his own promo's no wonder he's over. Austin shed that ringmaster bullshyt, came with his own name, vibe and is the GOAT (sorry Dwayne). This is why wrestling is ass now... Reigns isnt a talker yet, but i think its due to him trying to find his niche based off of what they r telling him to project. Just let him figure it out. If the WWE wants Reigns to be the next top face they need to play to his strengths. He shouldn't be doing long drawn out promos at all. His promos should be straight to the point and let his actions and ring work do the talking. But knowing the WWE they will screw it up and Reigns will flop.

Pretty much this. I stan for the man but that doesn't mean that I or anyone should ignore his flaws. He has to work on a few things and since he's getting this push now, he needs to make progressive improvement. I truly believe he'll get the hang of it. But I guess some people are just too impatient and expect him to be Punk on the mic and an Undertaker/HBK hybrid in the ring by next week.

Yes he is a very good wrestler, he is the best of this era along with Punk imo. Bryan is a bit better in ring and Punk is a bit better promo wise so I have them ranked about even.
