What’s the survival strategy
Number 1 - Fire. Fire. Fire
Need fire to keep the animals away. Making a fire is easy and getting fire wood in the dry savanah is like seeing a fat person at a fast food place. Its everywhere. Animals are scared of the light/heat and the smoke smell is also a repellent of sorts. You have now gotten rid of most both big predators and small creatures like bugs, etc...
Number 2 - my spot
This should have been number 1 actually. Since I have food and water. I'd look for a spot as far away from any water hole as possible. That way you have minimised your chances of running into the majority of big game animals. I'd personally look for a mountain. I'll clean a small area next to the mountain and built with sticks and rocks a little barrier/ fence. Inside my spot would be my big fire. I choose the mountain because with the mountain, one of the sides where a thread could come from is taken care of. Now I only have 3 sides to worry about.
Now I'll sit back with my 2 revolvers and wait for the 40 days to pass.

Its not that bad. You forget that our biggest advantage as humans is that we can climb trees. As long as you dont run into a leopard; you can count down time while chiling in the leaves.

Even without food, this strategy garuntees you 2 days. So 5 is feasible

In fact your biggest problem will be the african sun. And the cold nights.
Until you realize you climbed an acacia tree and get torn up by carpenter ants, fall down and too sore and limp to run from a black mamba that was cooling off in the shade and you have to make it to another tree across the oven savannah and get mauled by that leopard you never saw cause you were too busy trying to find a tree before the lion pride noticed you but the impala did and alerted everyone of where you were cause you thought it was safe to be near herbivores.

I can do 90days easy. I can make a fire and decent shelter. I would love this.

Pistols coming out at night time though. Being in the wilderness at night is SPOOKY!
