Nah he’s in LA for both.

Outside of the fact LA had a team with max cap for 2 stars that’s the only basketball reason...If he was going somewhere to win championships he wouldn’t of went there.

The team you listed doesn't beat Golden State. Why trade young talent for a player who wants to be there anyway and apparently isn't motivated by getting the absolute max dollar?

Boogie was never going to the Lakers unless Magic offered a max deal which would've been foolish given the Achilles' injury.

You do realize that we had cap to sign another player more than once now and struck out because our front office was a joke.

The Lakers flexible situation definitely played a part but there also needed to be competent people working behind the scenes. It’s night and day right now between cokehead/mitch and Maglinka.

They might not be done yet. They just waived Deng to free up more space and let's not act like Wade still isn't out there :yeshrug:

Kawhi and Boogie look like they are hardly available and are damaged goods after their injuries. I think it's sensible to keep the young guys with upside instead of getting those two guys who have only regressed due to injury. Your starting lineup does look incredible, but Kawhi and Boogie will be a shadow of their former selves.

So OP is saying that the Lakers should have traded away their best three young players, all on rookie contracts, for two injured guys who we haven't seen come back yet and who will both be free agents next year. In a year that the GSW are just about guaranteed the championship anyway.

And all that to build a starting lineup whose backcourt combined to shoot 39% last year.

Not to mention, one or maybe even both of those players can still be had next season with the huge cap space available. The Lakers are a much better team with Bron, it’s young talent, and a resurgent Kawhi/Boogie rather than rolling the dice with trades this year and losing the flexibility and depth from keeping the young players.

Lakers know exactly what they doing so I wouldn’t mind the OP.

magic fumbled paul George and kawhai leonard, because he seems to think that playing for the lakers is some sort of priviledge.

magic aint do nothing this offseason. LeBron was going there regardless, and hes the reason they signed all those other free agents.

Once pg flipped they should’ve have went all in on Kawhi. Boogie was a no brainer also. They didn’t even call him
