If you can't defend in today's era, how do you expect to stay on the court from the SG position. Also, Jeff wasn't very quick, Jeff wasn't long, and Jeff who was a scorer when the SG position looked more like him and less like it does today is really just a shooter in today's NBA. How do you expect him to start? I am pretty sure if we gave J.J. or Kyle the red light and put them in the NBA at the SG position in the 80's, they would be dropping 20ppg but this isn't the 80's. The SG position is loaded with guys who can score with great athletic ability and guys who can defend if they can't score. This ain't the 90's where things were slowly going to an athletic game, this isn't the 80's where all teams had solid spacing. There is a reason why Phil wants to NBA to spread the court because nikkas are too long nowadays. You really think nikkas like J.J. and Kyle can't hit a mid range jumper?

But in his prime dude could score. Not just with his shooting either. He wasn't Iverson but he was quick with some handles prior to being traded to the jazz. He was a smart player and always knew where to be on the court. Even though this thread isn't about defense,he would still survive in today's game. Obviously he wouldn't be able to guard these guys one on one but how many can. Stick him in pop's system and he could play good team defense. Plus he was a feisty defender in his suns/sixers years. He'll have nights where he gets torched but the 90's was filled with high scoring 2 guards and he survived that era
