North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
No, Black America would have to make a choice.

Would HBCU athletics actually matter more than Homecomings/Marching Bands?
Would HBCU's bring back vocations to compliment the new influx of attendees?
Would they continue to not hold HBCU admin accountable for their decades of ineptitude?
Would they stop voting democrat for the sake of voting democrat?

and most importantly

Would they give their money to HBCU's like they do the Church?

The real question is... These administrators at HBCU's aren't even trying to compete to get the best black basketball/football recruits KNOWING, how much revenue they can generate by elevating their athletics programs. IF an HBCU had a top 3 basketball recruiting class they would automatically get national coverage and make deep runs into the NCAA's.

They've basically accepted the status quo. When I was in high school, HBCU's only came around after kids realized they wasn't going to a major program.

But a lot of 2 star caliber players do go to HBCU's because they know they will get a lot of playing time.

But again to your point, the management infrastructure needs to change. Most of these administrators mismanaging funds are doing so with small budgets anyway. They probably wouldn't know what to do with a 8 or 9 figure endowment.

They shouldn't try to get the best recruits at this point.

They should focus on JUCO transfers, Power 5 Malcontents, and Projects..... cause developing players over 4-5 years is more sustainable, practical and doable at this very moment than shooting for top tier talent.

I really feel like HBCU's are operating with some fukked up TLC record deal type shyt cause nobody cares enough to audit or demand that type of transparency from the adminstration

When Robert Mathis gets into the HOF, Alabama A&M will have more Pro Football Hall of Famers than Mississippi State, Louisville and Vanderbilt COMBINED. :russ:

A lot of JUCO players are there based on academics. Most if not all have major school aspirations.

All HBCUs can do is offer an experience these major programs can't offer.

And your parents let you stay there? No way in hell I'd let my kids attend a mostly white high school
the neighboring big county has atrocious public schools, private schools are an arm and leg and even more racist and whitewashed sadly the choices for the black working class for primary schooling is rough out chea.

Speaking of HBCUs, anybody know whatever happened to the Whitney M. Young Classic?

It was the closest thing that we New Yorkers had to a large black college experience in the North (other
than the Greeks occasionally taking over Jones Beach in the summer).

The lovelies at those games that you would hook up with:takedat:.
