You'd be a fool to not partake in the festivities. It be so much fukkery.

It does.... but I’m not trying to be around all them folks

Especially out in the Beverly area where we moved after i got older, bunch of white folks saying racist shyt under their breath or out loud, begging to get punched.....

But met a Black Irish girl once....she was fine....

Your situation is a bit different. You're right around the Southside Irish in Beverly and Evergreen Park and you wouldn't catch me doing shyt over there. One of the most racist areas in Chicago.

We typically just do house parties or if we do bars, hit up our regulars - where we know the crowd. It's been a few times I've gone down and done something in River North, but I generally stay away from tourist hotspots for more low key areas in like Lincoln Park, Old Town, or Lake View.

It used to be lit in KC as well, now I'm like on St. Paddy's day. People of all races would be out there for that shyt, but now I'm good on all that bullshyt. They would even have multiple black drill teams, black "cowboy" horse-rider clubs, Mexican lowrider clubs...etc that shyt. Now I'm like yeah, fukk this. They constantly bytch about black shyt, but won't everybody to worship their shyt.

Yeah, I don't really think it's that deep.. With the exception of the Irish, I don't think anyone views it as "celebrating" the Irish but really only as another day to get shytfaced.

Nobody wants to be Irish in real life.
