Illmatic didn't get 5 Mics from The Source & didn't continue to sell until it went platinum?
Is it not held in high regard by all his peers?
I personally don't feel Illmatic like that but it had more impact on hip hop than any Game album.

You said it had impact "upon" it's release. It did not.
It was slow burn to platinum - real slow. It went plat like 5 years later.
When it came out, niccas was bumpin' R.Kelly and Brandy more than it.
It had more impact than any Game album, sure...but that's because Game isn't that great.

The Documentary is an impact classic, imo.
Doctors Advocate is a classic off the strength of the music.
So I would say two, the rest of his discography is strong though.
