I work in the oil and gas industry

I hit the 100 k about 4 years ago.

I'm 36 now

I cleared right at 120k last year and I'm on schedule to reach that if not more this year.


word to the wise we need more brothers and sisters in the oil and gas industry. If you have the desire to relocate, to the southern U.S., i.e. Texas, or South La there are plenty of opportunities to land god paying jobs.

Don't get me wrong a 100k is a good benchmark for anyone with a career, but that money really doesn't go as far as you think it does, Especially if you have a family to provide for.

1. Taxes will eat you alive, that 100k is actually about 70- 76k after Sam is finished with you, it's probably worse if you are single.
2. A modest home, and all the cost associated with that house will takes another big chunk out of your earnings.
3 If you have kids and both you and your wife work, you have to figure daycare cost with two kids. I pay 1000 a month for two kids

I'm considering moving to the southwest next year and was wondering what would be a good place to start for these opportunities.

Start at Rigzone.com create a profile and upload your resume. That's as good of start as any to get an idea of what kind of jobs are out there. The industry is huge so you have to be specific about what kind of skills you have.

He knows that I just don't like working for cacs.... so he's allowed me to do my own thing at will.

Basically I make average salary.

but p*ssy wise -- I'd be good even if I was broke, cuz Allah knows what I like, but he knows Im lazy - so blessed me with the looks of an Angel/Jinn .
