Preferably a year or 2 apart. Im the youngest and I know how it feels to have older brothers and a sister that you really can't kick it with. That age gap in the teen years is tough. I want my children to hang out together and have each other's back. If they're anything like me they gonna get in some shyt. If I don't know as a parent I would like them to look out for each other.
