As long as he wants tbh like Jay Z. He's run '16 mainstream wise through catching waves. QM for the first album. Then Fetty for My Way, great verse - arguably the song of the summer. Then Future these last few months.

He hasn't released the proper "Drake" project yet.

He's untouchable largely. He has the Social Media game on poinr,

He has that Jewish connection

Dude's gonna be in his late 30s as one of the top artists unless he chooses to retire early

Even if hip hop fell off as a top genre "they'd" still find a way to keep him afloat

Drake is a hitmaker and an artist who can transcend different styles. As long as he finds a young artist to suck blood from he can live forever.

View From the 6 bout to be amazing though. I can feel it

Depends on the talent of the future. The Weeknd himself has not only hit number 1 twice on billboard already while Drake hasnt once in his 7 year run.

He is currently blocking Drake from getting his 1st number #1 record. Which goes to show you that the people will follow good music and good artists. Which is exactly why Kirby is so terrified of real competition and only co-signs non threats. Ever since he gave Kendrick and The Weeknd that look back in 2011, he learned he cant hang and decides to play nice with the Future's and Fetty Waps of the game.
weeknd has one number one album, drake has 5

albums determine longevity not singles

Doesn't matter. He had a good run. And an impressive one given the era.

Wish he would have done a bit more, and released some better music and not as much filler but that's the game.

Got some classic tracks out of him, plus he helped some great artists get their start (Abel, ASAP, Kendrick to a lesser extent) he's done alright.

Whenever he's done, he'll probably be missed. Until someone fills that void.

It started really in 2011 to 2012.

Ross and Wayne were still running it in 2009, 2010 and 2011

If what you mean is "top artist"

SFG put him on the map and he toured off of a mixtape

He had two top 10 singles off of that mixtape

The run started in 09...the end will be 201_

This is one thing that gets repeated that isn't true. Unless helped get their start = co-signed and attached onto the wave.

All of the mixtapes that blew up these artists. No Drake verse. No Drake co-sign, it's only after they start buzzing did Drake come along.

In terms of success and longevity he'll end up right there with Jay Z. Above Kanye (the rapper) & Snoop.

He said "on top"

He wasn't considered the best rapper back then.
People still were calling him soft, singer erc
