i think more and more voters are valuing peak/prime so i dont think amassing a lot more yards necessary. sure it would help but one more great year i personally would put him in and i think he has a better case than priest/tiki at that point, two great years would make him a lock. he already has a 2000 yard season, another top 2 finish in rushing, and two scrimmage yard titles. one more great season and his peak/prime resume is better than every back not in the hall except henry/peterson and better than some in the hall.
Exactly. Marshall Faulk doesnt even have a 1500 yard season. Several HOF RBs only have one, Bettis, Martin, Marcus Allen. Other notables like Jamal Lewis, Ricky Williams, Corey Dillon only have one 1500 yard season. I think the great, HOFer Tony Dorsett only has one 1500 yard season, too. I think Ricky Watters and Thruman Thomas(HOF)both missed out on a 1500 yard rushing season, also.

we're not talking about 1 or 2 though. he already has 2 elite years and a 3rd pro bowl appearance. one more separates him from everyone listed. not from a career yardage standpoint, but from a peak standpoint.

depends on what the measurement for elite is. martin has 1 rushing title and 2 other seasons where he finished top 2 in rushing. saquon is only one elite season away from matching that.
