My faves were Magic and probably KD 3, haven't heard Magic 3 yet so can't comment on that one but I will listen tonight since I got it. I agree with Mystic above though on tehhe two.

Do people use the term 'classic' in terms of quality for music now?
Or does classic mean timeless, essential and impactful? Because this is what I consider a classic to be.
And similar to Jazz, R&B, and Rock music, hip hop music has reached a point where there are very few classic albums being made.
That's a long way of me saying 0. None of them are impactful enough to be considered classics.

I think at least 2 Magic 1 and either KD 2 or 3

Honestly I feel you can make a case for the KD trilogy being classic from a narrative standpoint on his career.

Much like Life is Good you can argue it impact the game but you also can’t talk about Nas career without it and I think the Kings Disease trilogy is the same

Why?

Every good or great album can't classic. That title used to mean something. What is the argument for any of these albums being classic? What's the impact, what's the classic song(s), what's the classic moment, etc.

Classic can be a broad term. I think you can say impact on the game is a strong measurement but you can also say impact on one’s career and I think you can say this has been important to his career late in it. Especially when culture is more fragmented than ever

It’s gonna take awhile to see. Like I think this underground revival with Griselda and Roc is a classic movement but it doesn’t have impact on the game outside the internet but in a few years looking back it probably will (sorta like how Doom is looked on now )
