That’s honestly disgusting. Breh probably has so many unaddressed issues (cavities, gum infections, plaque, potential need for a root canal now)
I go to the dentist at least 2x a year for cleanings - putting aside any operations I may need
It really depends on his dental hygene. In the absense of alcohol and smoking the avg person would be fine as long as they brushed regularly.
Between 18 and 21 during my first 3 years of college i didnt go to a dentist once. I was slightly worried when i finally visted one at 21, but dentist told me my mouth was immacualte. No gum issues, cavities, tartar, etc. Ironically, i never got a single cavity until i started regularly going to a dentist two years later.
at that point i learned that a lot of the modern dental industry is propaganda with folks going overboard. The 2 times a year thing is an unnecessary standard determined by insurance company payouts, not a biological requirement. Similalry, folks are going overboard with hardware like waterpicks , whitening strips, and electric toothbrushes. There is a diminishing return to all of that stuff.
It was that dentist at 21 that let me know that bad hygene, alcohol, and smoking are the main reasons folks vist him with problems. And by bad hygene, the dude told me had had clients who brushed once a week or somehing like that. So as long as you are a normal , unnasty person you should be fine
