Yeah that’s how it was when I was growing up, we was outside all day everyday no matter the weather. Only thing that was different was we didn’t live in a cul-de-sac and our houses didn’t have garages

Playing kickball and baseball at my house in the yard and street. I’ll never forget my little brother swinging the bat, letting it go, and it busting one of our windows. We was scared to death my dad was gonna go ballistic when he got off work. He ain’t even really trip like that.

In the summer time, going to the pool at my boys crib. Playing manhunt around the neighborhood. Riding our bikes all over.

I will explain what they mean. The media will project lies about Black father absenteeism, when the actual stats show we are the most involved. They will show children running around with no supervision getting into trouble, while as you stated what we saw in the video is pretty common. So what they mean is that the media drives propaganda to make our people look like street urchins and criminals, when in fact the images in that video shows we do have thriving communities with male adults around interacting with the children.

I remember my boy got an above ground pool in his backyard and that was the best shyt ever!!! Years later I saw that pool and it was the size of a jacuzzi but in our heads we was in the deep sea.

that's regular

but it's not all the way honest

the fukkery happens right in the midst of all that

i feel like i can remember that transition

where i realized what was happening in the streets i played in..........

Man Playing Football in the middle of the street, with the homies on "Car Watch".
We would play damn near every game we could think of.

Sliding down hills on flattened Cardboard boxes.

Back when every kid had a bike, and we would ride every where.
We use to ride bikes though the Neighborhood school, on the weekends when it was supposed to be "closed"

Simpler times!
