depends on the reason why.
if he has no reason other than the gender itself, he probably not my type anyway because i like smart guys that can see past surface shyt.

The reason why could be something as simple as that person having a lot of options. A dude you're feeling could mislead you and tell you it doesn't matter. If a guy has options, and all things are equal, he's gonna choose the one without the male best friend; and that has nothing to do with insecurity. Certain men will avoid any potential for fukkery to ensue.

I'm not saying you should ever ditch your best friend. It's just seems like something that could cost you something else you might want.
