I did! But maybe that's because I was pretty much the odd man out, the nerd that had no friends that sat in the Library alone, the cafeteria alone, and just got too old for it.

I'm just happy I'm no longer in college anymore. Besides the fact I couldn't stand being in a classroom with the people I had to be around, my ADHD was the biggest obstacle to getting stuff done. Not to mention, I had consistent trouble with math (I've been horrible at it since I was young) and I found absolutely no one that wanted to tutor me other than an ex-girlfriend. People said that I refused to ask for help...but the reality was I did and no one wanted to help me. My college career felt like watching other people swim freely upstream through the stream of life while I was thrashing about trying not to drown. Never got any play, was pretty much treated like a freak and a monster...I truly hated it and it felt like a goddamn nightmare. How did some of you ever survive these places? I had to get high just to even muster enough energy to go to class.

I'm still getting over it. The last years I was there, I'm seriously surprised I didn't punch anyone in the face. Especially them frat boy puke wads.

This is why anytime I get alumni e-mails or mail I always throw them in the trash and why I never opted to get a class ring or even a graduating class picture. As far as the University of Pitt goes, I never went there.

I lost my cool when I was 23 going on 24 and no closer to finishing my degree than I was previously when I had to take an algebra exam. After studying for it for days, I went in there and flipped out cause I didn't know what I was doing.

The test looked like another language. I just wrote a big "I DON'T KNOW" on the front page of the test, wrote about how sick I was of being in this school, threw it on the desk, left the classroom, knocked over some file cabinets in the hallway, flipped over some tables, and before I left the building smashed a glass window with my bookbag

The next class, everyone else in there was scared and had their hands over their heads down on their desk like this

They probably thought I was going to :bustback:the joint too.

The teacher started the class and ended it early and had me transferred to a statistics class. He was told by other kids that they didn't want me coming in the classroom at all.

I was really depressed and angry back then...I'm glad those days are over.

You're pretty unstable breh...
LOL. Not really...I just think I was in that environment for too long. I'm actually a real calm and down to earh person when you get to know me. I just like to express myself and interject my weird (and sometimes dark and brooding...admittedly:yeshrug:) personality in my posts.

There's a reason why college should be done in 4-5 years. Anything else, and you just get to become too old and can't relate to that lifestyle anymore. I felt like Van Wilder or Billy Madison. I guess it was part fear of the real world and part dependency on something where I didn't have to try to make a living.

To be honest though, I've always felt like the educational system held me back because of it. That was 20 years in school from kindergarten. I just needed to get away from that and now that I am, I've never been happier!

The main obstacle I see what that you were lonely and didn't have a social outlet that you wanted. It's tough for people, especially shy, quiet, or nerdy people, to find their group if they are not actively searching, and then you have to have a level of ease with yourself, compassion for you and others, and sense of humor that will let you live and be you in these settings.

How were you out of class? Were you active anywhere off campus? Online? Seems like even if you weren't in college, you would have been depressed. It's cool though because many people need time to learn about themselves, and this time when they tell you you are supposed to have the best relationships and experiences of your life, you were just beginning that journey. And so it was hell. Hopefully it does not feel like hell anymore for you.

How old were you when you graduated?

How you think Law Students feel? Medical Students? They're in school till they're near 30.

I didn't finish undergrad until I was 23. Had my MBA at 25.

The only thing that TRULY sucked, was my senior year, a few people I knew, that were my age, had already Graduated and started working, while I was still in school. I hated my senior year.

But once I got out, I had a good job, was still making good money, and was like "We all in the same boat now, what was I even trippin' for back then?:manny:"

Only other thing I hated about college(kind of a personal let-down) was that I didn't get into any legit fukkery, no binge drinking, no getting high, no running trains on broads, etc. I don't have any crazy college stories, but considering the school I went to, it's a good thing. I ain't really with the craziness like that.:whoa:
