It always amazes me how ill-informed people are on this "cleanliness' subject pertaining to the anus. 
If you eat ass, you eat ass, but you should at least be educated and informed enough to understand that the bacteria produced in the lower GI & rectum can't just be scrubbed away with soap and water. The bacteria is always there. You are always taking a risk of infection to hepatitis, herpes, HPV, and parasites. Your best best would be your partner using an anal douche and even then you're at risk.

With the anal douche? A small, minuscule risk of exposure and a hell of a lot safer than simply handing your partner a bar of dove and a washcloth. Only issue is that anal douche's if used too frequently will kill off the "good" bacteria and could lead to infections.
