I don't think anyone should move anywhere just because, I also don't think anyone should stay for the same reasons.

If moving somewhere can give you more opportunity for happiness and well-being than I say you should go for it.

If you are happy where you are why leave? it doesnt make sense

i'm considering it if trump actually gets elected. i know people make jokes about people who make those threats, but my passport is ready. got prospective teaching jobs (they always hit me up to teach in foreign countries) lined up in other countries until i decide where i want to live.

i really want to teach in japan and live in tokyo for a minute. i honestly think trump getting elected would be the only thing that would make me take the full leap to a foreign nation like that. too comfortable with the amenities i have here.

I know it won't be good for your street cred, but you'd certainly be a lot happier.
Everyday I read on here about how bad everyone has it, White supremacy and racism and all other types of shyt that dominate the American landscape.
Now I'm not saying that shyt doens't happen in Canada or UK, but it isn't even CLOSE to the shyt that happens in America.

Well, it depends.
It's not all "open doors and easy street". A lot of Americans who move to Canada and the UK face laws that prevent immigrants from taking jobs away, just like in the US. You can't just come to the US and apply for certain jobs. You need a work visa. If you are fleeing your country under duress, then they'll roll out the red carpet and give you citizenship and all the perks.
So, in Canada, they don't want Americans taking jobs away from Canadians, unless there are no Canadians who can fulfill those job openings. That means if there are 100 job openings for gas station attendant, there needs to be a valid attempt to get those openings filled by Canadians first. And then when all resources have been tapped, then an American can apply for that job. You would need to go on a major killing spree for them to open up that job opening to you.
