Do as good or better than my parents, it's the least I can do. Beyond that I'm trying to get white person rich where money is no object. So I figure I'll need near a million in assets. I read that the average white household has about 100k in assets, Hispanic around 10k, black around 3k. It's time to change those statistics man.

Before I'm 35 years old, I wanna...

1. Pay off my school debt
2. Mortgage a house
3. Learn a marketable skill for passive income or future career change
4. Have at least $500k worth in assets (bank accounts, investments, home equity, etc.)
5. Still be happy overall. Money isn't everything

I'm 28 and single with no kids though. Some of my goals might have to change or get pushed back depending on what happens. :yeshrug:

I think white people tend to have higher assets because they get shyt like real estate or land passed down to them through generations. Of course 99% of minorities never had that luxury throughout American history.

Thing is white people are slowly but steadily squandering their inheritance, proving there's nothing special about them. The biggest affirmative action ever, was the GI Bill which gave returning WW2 vets free housing, many screwed a shyt ton of black WW2 vets over in the process.

I understand that fact and it's precisely why I aim to acquire assets. I've been put on a good enough position to start making inroads on them. If I can have a small portfolio of rental properties by 30-35 I'll be in good shape.

I have a plan for me in my little corner of the uverse and life.
I"m half way through paying my student loans off.
Once that is done I'm looking to save money, trying to save up to 120k - 250k and buy some land looking for 300 - 400 acres of land in alabama.
Want to open up a heritage hog and beef ranch.

I wish I knew. All the goals I made after turning 30, I started to realize came from a place of trying to satisfy the ego...meaning that I knew if I accomplished them, I wouldn't be any happier. These included having a worth of at least $1 million by the age of 40 and owning one property each in South America, Africa and Asia.

Currently, my goal, though, is to heal myself back to a place where I have optimal physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, as without having the wealth of my health first, nothing else really seems worth pursuing.

For those of you who don't have a plan, read The Master Key to Riches (Napoleon Hill), then get a DEFINITE plan, then watch your life turn into heaven.
That book changed my life. I am a different person completely. Read it 4 years ago when I was homeless. And my life now? Everything I wanted and more. And I'm still building.

I never really had a plan. Just some rules to live by.

1. Make retirement saving a priority... we put like 15% away for our 401K and put another good bit into Wealthfront
2. Advance in my career.... I just switched fields to a more lucrative one and I have a decent side hustle
3. Prob should have been #1.... live below my means... I could have a bigger house and a nicer car but I'd rather have more $$$$ in the bank

I honestly feel like if you do these 3 things you don't need specific goals.... shyt takes care of itself. I will say this- I was fortunate enough to get a full scholarship to college but even still, my wife still has some student loans and we are good.
