i have 184 people on ignore- i just did an exact count
very few got blocked out of true irritation
mostly i was just trying to improve signal to noise ratio
if thecoli is a newspaper, i want to read sports and the funnies and the weather
i am not interested in the local section or the classifieds
so i shape the site to give me the experience i want
what type of people do i block??
some people pad their posts with unnecessary paragraphs -
that kind of shyt appalls me, so they get ignored
on the other extreme??
there's one guy- i swear he only posts a smiley reply to everything
pure grade a filler- so he got the ignore button
i remember a guy signed up and the very first day made 100+ posts each using the same gif
unless you are a masochist, why subject yourself to that tedious nonsense??
people with extra long signatures get ignored
chronic arguers also get ignored
people with one track minds get ignored-
hey, i get it- you are a "good guy" and you think all women prefer "bad boys"
but i don't need to watch you flog that same dead horse across 10+ posts/day
184 people is admittedly a lot
it's so bad that in some of those long-ass threads
entire PAGES will be blank for me
one time i went from page 16 to 17 to 18 without seeing a single post
