How many people here abide by the 30/70 rule when it comes to saving money?

thats one of the funniest things i heard. compared to the typical 6 cert coli baller, I'm in the poverty zone. I'm just disciplined with my money and learned from past foolish spending and credit card debt mistakes. besides it dont matter if you make 100k a year or even 30k a year, make every dollar count. find a way to save somehow. whether you can only save 10 instead of 100, its still a start.

Saving as much as possible. Eating home cooked meals and no extracurriculars outside of working out. It's not fun but seeing the money stack up offsets the periods of boredom

I try to have all my mandatory bills fit on one paycheck. Rent, electricity, heat, water. If possible, cell phone and internet.

This is a good ass idea. I just calculated everything up and i can definitely fit a large majority of my expenses on one check. Definitely gonna try this moving forward and see how it works for me

Get a side hustle. I do Uber eats, Postmates and door dash. I try to make at least $50 a day doing it

12-36 months isn't really that long in the big picture. If you have a job and a hustle you can easily save at minimum $1k/ month. Unless you have children or a needy girlfriend I don't see how it's not possible
