my philosophy always been i got a floor at home to do push-ups, sit-ups, stretches and when i wanna go for a jog, i usually find a good walkin' course and jog there. the fukk i look like payin' for a gym membership when i can exercise without the equipment? don't get me wrong, the equipment is nice and all but you can get a good workout in without too :yeshrug:

Lol my broke ass left the gym and joined planet fitness...

I have a gym in my building that I'll use. I was a member for one a little while but the logistics, bringing clothes, etc. became a pain in the ass. I'm an elevator ride away from one, but I can say that I do miss the group classes, they help w/ motivation.

I go to a publically funded gym. Pictures of 1970s and 80s fitness athletes and of course ARNIE! The equipment is just as old. I'm the only woman there and it's mostly young Pakistani guys who workout hard and talk about school or work. I like my gym because it's like a small little group. Only problem is the air conditioning is non existent so when I'm done running it looks like someone threw a bucket of water over my head.


I love it.
sounds like my gym without the towel heads.

First nikkas was too cool to drink a protein shake every once in a while ("Just eat 20 eggs every morning to meet your protein goals :troll:), then nikkas was too cool for lifting belts, then nikkas was too cool to ask for a spot on heavy lifts ("Serious lifters can bench three plates for sets of fifteen without a spot:troll:"), now we're too cool for the gym altogether ("I can get a full workout doing tricep dips and crunches in my basement :troll:")

Do you really recommend protein shakes? I just don't like them. I eat one egg and egg white for breakfast and salmon or tuna for lunch dinner.
