Moved from Daygo to Philly. Needless to say there are drastic differences between the two cities. After living here for several years I've gotten use to it but it ain't fukking with home whatsoever but hey what can you do.

I'll be moving from Florida to the D.C. Area in 2 months. Pretty excited for the change

You will have fun here but it's getting quite expensive. For nightlife, you have the options of partying in DC, MD, and VA. There's plenty to see & do that will keep you occupied....but this city shuts down way too early.

We have a ton of young professionals so you'll find yourself with a hangout buddy or crew in no time. Good luck!

I moved from Philly to Jamaica, Queens back in 07 then Bed Stuy in 11' where I'm at now. Moving to NY when you don't have a lot of excess money is :sadcam: But things worked themselves out over time for the better. I haven't been back in probably a year and have visited maybe 2-3 times annually before that.

They're both major cities so it's not a huge difference but the people are different. Philly is more segregated which I like lol. I can get the culture fix when I want it but I'm not forced into it like gentrification is doing in BK. I also miss malls. And NY has tons of police. Even in safe areas.

Moved from Denver to CA (San Fran to Monterey to West Hollywood). I had a blast, but I appreciated my hometown a lot more when I came back.

I'm so glad I did it. I'll never have that "what if" feeling.

I hit the road at 18 and lived in my college town for 9 years. It was only two hours away, tho. In 2002 I moved six hours away. That was quite a bit different. I came here to marry a woman from my hometown (because irony) but we've been divorced since 2009.

My hometown is full if people who would love to kick it with me, but I would have to go to crack houses and hood clubs. If I was smart I would pack a gun. The women ALL seem to have a pack of kids by a pack of men.

The life I have been living for the past couple of decades is sonething foreign to most of my childhood friends. By their math I am wrong for leaving the hood.

So it has worked out cause I can afford a real car and I pretty much just do what I want without worrying about money. It's lonely, but living back around the way is not an option. If I was within 100 miles of the crib I would be drawn into the streets.. cause I really do love them niqqas.
