Keep hearing this same motif, but different places have different security requirements. They may or may not be the same for taxi drivers. So keep in mind, every city/state Uber and Lyft operates in has their own standards for vetting drivers.

I think Uber and Lyft are safer for both driver and passenger, because everyone's identity is known before you even make contact....versus a cab....could be a fake cab drive up (unlikely) ....or a random passenger gets in your vehicle (happens everyday).

Committing a violent act or assault in an Uber or Lyft guarantees you will be penalized....the data is already there.

Will that deter people from doing stupid or violent things? Yes

WIll it stop people from doing stupid or violent things. No. Absolutely Not.

not for nothing but there are a lot of adult women who still inform parents, siblings, significant others and friends where they are or will be daily.
That's not even close to the samething as tracking their cellphone.

Can they have somesort of vetting system?

It's impossible to vet every single stranger without a criminal record.

When you get head from a random thot she can bite your shyt clean off like the owl from the tootsie roll commercial, but we all take that chance don't we. :francis:
