tougher era my ass. the defense was pathetic when you really look at it. they had to foul dudes because they were so terrible at moving their feet and staying in front of someone. they werent nearly as athletic as today. MJ had more size and was way more athletic than most of the players in that era so of course he could still get his shots up and score. and mike didnt make it out the east until the celtics and pistons got flabby anyway..... the east in the 90s wasnt any better than it is now.

Him having 7 gives him a chance to always be used a case against Jordan. And that's that. Jordan never lost in the Finals so he'll always be that type of force in NBA history.

The ring talk is dumb because Jordan was proclaimed the GOAT when he only had 3. The whole 'best ever' discussion is less about facts than it is passion. That's cool cause sports is entertainment and about passion and enjoyment, but we don't recognize that and try to make factual arguments. Jordan is the GOAT for a number of factors and we're being dishonest if we pretend marketing and advertising aren't part of that. His creation of and protection of his image, his commercials, the shoes, the association with Nike and Gatorade, etc all contributed to his status as the GOAT. Now his on court play is probably 70-80% of it but again he had that status sowed up when he retired the first time after the first 3 peat even though he'd gotten beaten in the EC playoffs the previous 6 years

Breh, Jordan was 9 time All-Defensive First Team.........breh, he won MVP and DPOY in the same year. Far from a Jordan stan (Pippen stan tho :blessed:) but your last sentence was kind of off, can't be acting like he wasn't closer to the top of all of those stats. But I will say that it is easier for Lebron lead his team in those stats: He is an athletic freak in a small ball era who handles the ball more :yeshrug:.
