I'm not saying that they're gonna do it just to do it. If they put the belt on a black wrestler, best believe they're doing it for media coverage and headlines, but I still believe that there's a greater chance of a black champion with HHH as the boss instead of Vince.

Also, who do you think could've been WWE champ if taken seriously?

there is no reason Big E given a serious character and push couldn't be champion. especially given the people who have been pushed in the past few years. but its not just about being champion...just being seen as a serious threat would be good.

Big E could end up doing it, I think it would be needed to show he's a multi faceted character and develop his story a bit. He's a genuinely dope athlete. I remember when I first saw him and was impressed at his mobility for a man that size, his strength too. His issue was his charceter but with New Day he's really worked on that and as an entertaining face he could be big. Or just go on a mad heel run and annihilate everyone but hopefully maintain the entertainment factor. There's big potential with E, maybe the most out of the 3 in New Day. If they ever split up could see a Kofi vs E feud for the title. I wouldn't split them up yet though, I think E could stay in New Day and be big and Kofi and Xavier have the tag belts. They could be an even bigger group with the right push, storylines and adding diversity and depth to their charecters and story's.

There's a bunch of talented black wrestlers having good to great matches out there. If you are worried about that, don't focus on WWE and check other promotions.

That crossed my mind when I was watching Corbin's backstage promo last night. It seems unlikely that a black wrestler would be given that kind of characterization to work with in the WWE. In TNA or ROH, yeah, but generally black wrestlers who get over in the WWE act like buffoons. I love New Day, but they come out in pink, talk about unicorns and twerk. A self-determined, alpha black man who's a threat to the throne is rarely booked in WWE despite it being common place in real sports.

Missed the Hall of Pain era huh? I remember Smackdown ratings went up noticeably and people like Meltzer fumbled over themselves to give the credit to everything other than Mark Henry.
