Missed the Hall of Pain era huh? I remember Smackdown ratings went up noticeably and people like Meltzer fumbled over themselves to give the credit to everything other than Mark Henry.
Nope, I didn't miss it. I said its rare.

Shelton has the best chance since he's returning, and to a roster that actually needs him.

When the first Shelton push was in full effect in 2004, Vince McMahon actually did the Drew McEntyre thing with the Raw before Taboo Tuesday 2004 and endorsed him after he won his match. Besides the Rock, I dont recall Vince ever doing that for a Black talent.

My money's on Cedric Alexander if he's got the mic work down.

I wasn't sure about him when I saw him getting flabby on the indie scene but dropped to 205 for the CWC lean and looks ready, so it's all a matter of working the mic. The in-ring talent is there, he's only 26, the co-signs are there. Owens(who called him "the future of this business" after his last match in ROH) and Styles would politic for him. He can also work baby better than Crews. Dude could essentially become the black Sami because he's got the combination of high-flying and devastating :damn: moves.

At the very least, he'll win multiple IC/US titles, but he'll definitely be seen as a threat.

I've never heard him talk before (only seen him wrestle in ROH, not have any promos/segments, etc), but dude radiates charisma and that'll go a long way.

If Titus could actually talk on the mic and didn't physically abuse Vince he might have gotten a push.

Titus can actually talk and has a lot of charisma, but it seems like post-suspension, he's been very scripted. I also just don't get the same feeling I get when him and Young were together, especially as heels. I loved that they won the titles, but they should have won the titles way before then as heels (or tweeners), because by the time they did win, New Day was was starting to get hot, and New Day basically cut off PTP's momentum.

I really have hope for Shelton, but before he left, he was paired with Thea with in a walking minstrel show. I will believe it when I see it in regards to them showing some glimmer of being able to book a main eventer.

With the exception of Crews and maybe Young every guy on that roster has the charisma and/or in ring skills to be a main eventer (if not a champ) in this era. Yet you have dedicated time and segments for Baron Corbin :mjlol:

Shelton didn't have gold hair when he was with Thea :lolbron:. Those were two different gimmicks, which the Gold Standard thing could have actually worked. Just feel like it ran it's course and stalled out.

Man I just want at least one main eventing black guy who wants to break the glass ceiling and who's not just "happy to be here" :mjcry:. Maybe down the road if Jason Jordan cops an attitude and gets on his cocky shyt and finds his mic skills he may have a chance

You're right. I mashed the two together.

We have a better chance at having a black champion under Vince than HHH/Steph. Vince might be racist, but he still loves big muscular black men. He was the one who wanted Big E and Lashley as main eventers.

Man no, let dudes be who they r!

E ain't a tough guy and he doesn't need a singles push... BECAUSE HE fukkING GOT ONE ALREADY AND BEING TOUGH JUST DIDNT SUIT HIM.

The New Day are fine where they r. They can be one of the greatest tag teams ever. Let them cook.

Apollo is growing into his self, I'm sure he won't be the same in 2 years. Let him cook.

Every black guy doesn't have to be a snarling Rusev type nikka to get over, in fact that shyt is generic and bland as fukk when we act that way.

Black people, are funny, have rhythm and flavor by nature and will still whip your ass. I LOVE WHAT NEW DAY IS DOING BECUZ IF ANYTHING THEY ARE ANYTHING BUT STEREOTYPICAL.

Dragon ball, Video Game references, twerking (smh) they made things that were taboo for black men what got them over and I respect them For being who they are...

Shelton might be the first one in a minute. He'll probably go back to being "the super athlete", with little personality. Too bad MVP said he wasn't coming back - would have hit them with the :birdman:if they asked him to dance.

Big E was alledgedly Vince's pick for Roman's monster push, before Hunter convinced him otherwise.:manny:

New talent wise, I couldn't even tell you.:mjcry:
This maybe the first time I agree with Triple H:ehh:
