#1 just because you're sleeping in a room with them, doesn't mean that they'll even touch you.
#2 I heard that they only bite when they are aggressive, ie you're trying to swat it in a state of panic. You'd be sleeping anyway so you may not be moving and anxious therefore causing it not to bite you.
#3 Just because you get bit, doesn't mean you'd die. You might see the swelling or symptoms of the bite then go to poison control
