The top 3 and the outline of the whole triangle

The rest of the parts have more than 3 sides/edges, therefore cannot be TRIangles

I counted 19 the first time because I counted the whole triangle as 1 Unit, then at the end I counted the three tiers again and didn’t realize I’d already counted the largest triangle. :pachaha:

Put it another way, each tier has six triangles and there’s three tiers: the three triangles can form two larger triangles and then all three together form another largest (3+2+1=6); and there’s three tiers, so 6*3=18
