Car washes are one of those businesses where even if you have competition around town you can thrive anyway. Employees tend to have low pay and generally aren't expecting high pay because the job is chill and repetitive. You have equipment upkeep, of course. But your soaps and detergents are bought in bulk.

If your business sense is good and you can get the startup capital it's not a bad investment.
