When I grew up 1 new CD was $9.99 the first week. The distance that level of money goes now is astonishing. You get access to several 10s of millions of songs for that now.

Somebody has to pay for this stuff or these companies will vanish. If you can afford to pay you should pay.

Only negative is not owning a physical disk because of these streaming services unless you can dl the files, but take may take up space unless you're got external hard drives or paying for cloud services. I always wonder what happens if those go down and their backups's backups's backups go down.

To bring you into the logic, i noticed the trend over a decade ago and so did everyone else at the time. Since then I've kept my go to's to myself and post up any alternatives i know about. The ones i share always go down, so I'm good on that bruh. Everything i found, Google search, it's not hard to find. Just as easy as finding a bootleg app, bootleg movie sites are everywhere. The bootleg sites often been around longer than the legit ones

You know what else compensates the creators, probably more? An ad ads are not an issue tho, yooooooou can skip most of then after 5 sec. And certain shows rarely have ads for me. Vlad tv hardly ever do i get an ad. Anyways, what you get with premium, just no ads and the music stuff?

Platforms evolve young blood, everyone was on pandora at one point, then spotify came thru, tidal came on afterwards. Then what?

Pandora has a feature called hey pandora, works like hey siri/ ok Google. Looks exactly like iPhone siri when it talks. Tell it what you want, it plays instantly. I was asking for random songs like mobb deep and kool g rap.... instantaneously anything i asked came up. Then when it was finished it played random music from the same genre/era and it was doing the damn thing. Try it out, should be free. I don't think i have a premium account but I'm not entirely sure

Also, Google play is free if you have Amazon prime but it is my least favorite to use...

Never had a problem watching what i wanted, free. I'll give an example...

I don’t like relying on other people to play songs for me. I don’t like only having the option to listen to just one random song. If I listen to an album on tidal and it finishes it continues to play songs similar to that sound. I have podcasts, music videos and every full complete album in mater or hi fi. Pandora letting me request songs like it’s 1996 and I’m the number 7 caller at 7 seems like a antiquated way to listen to music. But whatever to each own.

I’m good on ads, if I want to support the artist I will pay for the content, I don’t appreciate the ads so I don’t want to see them. That style also seems antiquated to me

I get it, pandora is old. They evolved, now they top flight. You clearly haven't tried it to say what you said so give it a shot, it's free. Yesterday i was listening to styles p, i go hey pandora "play rhapsody maya" because i can't be no bird in a cage, I'm a peacock so I gotta fly homey. Next song it randomly played afterwards was live memories by reflection eternal and then it went to play other bangers till i got home. I got rid of tidal last week.
