Coli PC brehs...

If I want to play Red Dead 2 on ultra high settings at 60 fps effortlessly...

What would you suggest?

At what resolution?

1080? You should probably be good with a 2060...

4k? To play it "effortlessly" you probably going to need a 2080 super at least...

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X,
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 LPX 32gb Ram
ASUS Crosshair Hero 6
Samsung 1TB EVO 860 SSD
Corsair TX750 PSU
Gigabyte GTX1060 6GB GPU

Honestly, in my opinion, if you are planning on playing a pc game at 60fps at 1440p or less, you should just buy an XB1X/PS4Pro and a TCL 4K. You’ll spend a lot less and it will save you trouble associated with PC gaming shyt.

I say this as somebody who primarily games on PC.

I think the only reasons to jump on PC over a console are higher frame rates (120/144), ultra graphics (RTX) and true 4K (not checker board).

for 4K RTX at 60fps, you need a 2080ti. For 1440p RTX, a 2080 super. For 1080p RTX a 2070 or 2060. :manny:

If you like tinkering with shyt too, PC is a cool hobby to have though :ehh:

I've never spent more than 1.2k -1.3 k and that was the price of my last machine I made this past spring.

Tbh, getting the most HIGH end products is never worth the jump in price. For example, getting an I5 processor versus i7 isn't going to be that much of a performance difference in 99% of your day to day usage. An RTX 2060 vs an RTX 2080 isn't going to be that major for most people.

So, I mean if you want a nice setup, don't be afraid to spend some money but be reasonable too and you can probably save a few hundred bucks.

From everything I've seen over the last few years, AMD's CPUs have the juice now and give people the most bang for their buck.

What makes AMD the 'budget setup' in 2019 specifically?

Because amd is cheaper compared to intel. There is no other comp between the two. Amd is a budget build.

I'm talking from a performance perspective.

If the performance is comparable or better for a cheaper price, is this a negative when comparing the two?

No. But amd being cheaper fits his budget. So im still using the budget term for amd.
