The I in Team
me and my girl pay $875 for a 1bdr apartment. rest of the bills are under 400. we split it down the middle.

works out well. not too expensive, and we never fight over money. :blessed:

if we go out to eat and the bills expensive, we pay half. if its just a burger or something, i buy this time, she buys next time. its a good system.

$725 on rent
$140 on car insurance

But month in month out, I don't escape without putting a $1000 on household expenses
My car and insurance combined are $240 a month. 2016 Honda Civic EX-T. 2 years left.

All my recurring living expenses combined from house to car to utilities are about $1200 a month. It's wild to me that some people pay that for just a roof over their head.

Stay with her. Entitled Women with good paying jobs expect men to pay 100% of the rent and bills by themselves, these days.

Real talk. If most people could have affordable housing many of our problems in society would be solved. People's greatest expense is almost always housing. Solve that and people could manage much better. You got people spending 30-50% of their take home income on housing so no wonder they have so many problems.

I take home about $4500 a month after taxes. Depending on performance and OT it could be about $5000. Apartment is 1br 600sqft.
I couldn’t live in a 600 sqft place at all. I have two dogs and a girl and enjoy my yard and the extra space.

Plus, $2000 a month mortgage is nothing to me. It’s less than 20% of my take home.

Im not a fan of renting either.

Small dog, no kids. For just me I got a living room, bedroom, place to cook and a bathroom. It's really all I need and at $616 I don't even notice the cost.

All my monthly bills fit into about 26% of my take home pay. My savings and investments are 26% and the other 48% I do whatever with usually blow on dining, entertainment, and other junk.

That’s great:wow:

I’m glad you’re being smart and investing. Most people don’t. shyt I got onto investing late at 26 but I had credit card that held me back in my 20s. SMH.
