Depends on the type of female, I expect a hoodrat to turn her face up at a name like that, but I imagine an even slightly intellectual female would be interested in the origins of the name. That's basically the reactions I get from my name, hood rats tend to frown and say "ain't that a girl's name?", some ask if my parents were fans of the Japanese beer I share my name with, and the ones that catch my attention usually ask if I know the ancient Chinese legend of the mythical dragon with my name which is what the beer is named after

It's your name. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about it. If they're your friends they will get use to it, it will roll of their tongue eventually. If they aren't your friends long enough for that to happen, then the problem solved itself. Calling someone by their name, learning how to pronounce it, if necessary, is a respect thing.
