I actually worked harder making my 8.50 a hour than I do now making so much more. Back then I was in a call center that was busy as hell and was like non stop. I'd go to work for like 7.5 hours and minus the little lunch and two breaks I had it was non stop on the phone.

Now I'm here at home working at my own pace, tv on, spotify on posting on the coli

That's pretty common, I've also found that the more I make the less work I have to do (even though I have more responsibility).


My first call center tech support job I made 10/hr and had to deal with annoying (and sometimes angry) customers all day nonstop. Years later as a SysAdmin making more than 3x that I spend most of my day on the coli and Youtube and occasionally take a break to work on a project.
