How much do you save every paycheck

I have an emergency fund of a very comfortable year…

After expenses I can usually throw $1k in savings. If I focus, I could probably save 2k but I like date nights and shoes.

Got a junior and a senior in high school that both play sports outside of school. I'm lucky to be able to save anything.

I max my 401k, HSA, and Roth IRA contributions to allowed limit, then auto contribute a few hundred dollars per pay period to a non-retirement brokerage account. When checking account gets above certain amount, I move excess to the brokerage account. I feel like it's a good system.

If you save between 400-800 over a 10 year stretch.

You get a return of $48000- $100000

Apart from rent, utilities, food (alcohol), gas and a few subscriptions, I keep what's left in the bank. Been saving for that rainy day, and a home hopefully soon.

No kids, I own my house and car. Single (as in not married)
Monthly bills plus fun money comes out to like 1,300 bucks


This is how you live folks. Stress free. fukk all the cars and clothes. Just let me have money leftover where bills ain't an issue. If I want fun I'll travel to Colombia.
