Curious what the average is for people.

Im a notoriously cheap person...but ive started cleaning out the closet and replacing certain items...I have an issue of only liking good quality (expensive) items, so it can get pricey for me.
I do find a lot of clothes at thrift stores (Have a closet full of Pringle of Scotland & Black Label Cashmere sweaters), but some shyt you just cant find there.

Hmm.... never been a big fan of fashion I dress for comfort also I shop at stores like Citi Trends, Burlington's and places like that so I say I spend about 400-600 per year on clothes. shyt I got jeans and shirts that are over 10 years old that look brand new! lol

I don't know.
I buy business casual wear for work every half a year or something like that. I'll spend about $100 or so. Spread that over 6 months and that's like $17 a month. I buy casual clothes sporadically. That lasts longer usually, shorts, running pants, t-shirts. I'll buy a $20 t-shirt that I will wear that for 2+ years usually. One t-shirt is like $0.83 a month. Same thing with pants and shorts. I'll spend $40 a pair for jeans but that lasts for more than three years. So that's $1.11 a month.
I'll spend more on shoes though. It all evens out there. I'll spend $100 on dress shoes, $60 on running shoes, or $50 on casual shoes.

I don't wear Abercrombie & Fitch or Lacoste or Polo. That's too expensive for me. And I'm a cheapo.

I don't have a set budget for clothing a month. I buy a random pair of kicks now and again. When Jos Bank has a sale, I'll wander over and pick up a few ties or shirts.

I'd say I'd drop about $1,000 to $2,000 annually. :manny:

dont know because I dont keep track, I may buy a few shirts one month and then not buy anything for 3 months, since the spring is hear, I want to pick up some vneck and graphic tees along with some new sneakers. I still have a gift card from Dillards for like $45, so if I hit a could sale should be able to atleast pick up 3 shirts if not more

I'd say I go shopping about twice a year for clothes and spend about 1000-2500grand on per year... But then I have gone years where I haven't spent any money on clothes other than socks, and underwear so it varies....

When it comes to nice pieces... I'll spend 220 on a nice pair of APC denim and a 500-600 on a nice apc coat every couple years, but most of my other pieces are really cheap. I like to mix it up and I have a "uniform" that I never really stray away from. I usually only wear Black t shirts on low key days. I have a lot of nice light blue button downs, a lot of white button downs, some varied short sleeve button downs designs that I cop from thrift stores or cheaper online stores, and a bunch of J Crew plain white polos. I mix it up with different colored fitted slacks, sometimes they are nice expensive APC/Brooks brothers, and sometimes they are cheaper lucky brand pants. I stay in decent boots, Vans, or chukkas etc.

I am just trying to find that balance of not overspending on clothes and "trying to hard" and still coming out with a variety of things I like to wear and feel comfortable in. Most people say they like my look because it is "clean cut"... I learned that in the fall/winter months, it is more important to enjoy your "outerwear" pieces over having a bunch of different kinds of button ups and shirts. Nice Jakcets, overcoats, cardigans etc. are more to my liking and make a plain outfit fit together nicely. At 26 I am realizing that while I like fashion, I find that I like using my money on other things like electronics, music, and media and other hobbies like kite surfing so I need to get more responsible with how I spend...

Spend money on big pieces, go cheaper on everything else...

I usually shop per season.

Discounting major pieces like suits or outerwear I'd say about 1-2k for spring/summer 2-3k for fall/winter. Socks and underwear get bought regularly throughout the year.
